The dog became stuck on the roof on Sunday, July 28 when he walked out of an open third-floor window onto the roof of the home on Scofield Avenue, said the Bridgeport Fire Department on Facebook.
Battalion 1 responded and called Ladder 5 to respond so they could use their bucket truck to rescue the pup, the department said.
Firefighters Ryan Kane and Tom Varanelli safely rescued the dog from the roof.
Once on the ground, the dog drank two bowls of water and was turned over to the first-floor tenant until his owner came home.
